Three responses and three correct answers probably indicates that this was too easy. On first blush, one might get the impression that this is some sort of shearwater. However, the massive chest and bill and legs clearly visible beyond the tail clearly indicate that this is an albatross, which is of course obvious from the boat since it's a good thirty per cent larger than anything else around you. The pale markings at the base of the bill and the dark legs are good for BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS and the absence of white uppertail coverts suggests a juvenile or immature bird.Home
