Blue Tit1.31 Eastern GGP
I birded Eastern GGP this morning. Unfortunately, I found no evidence of Acorn Woodpeckers near the Conservatory of Flowers despite checking at three different times. There is also no evidence of new excavations in the fan palms that were being used for granary trees. I'd be very interested in hearing positive sightings.Other than that birds are getting very nesty. Species exhibiting courtship behavior include RED-TAILED HAWK, COMMON RAVENS and a pair of MEW GULLS that looked for all the world like they were courting each other. There was also a RED-BREASTED SAPSUCKER in the Cryptocaria rubra at the Arboretum.
Other sightings of local interest:
Northern Flicker
Hutton's Vireo
Purple Finch (female type)Home
