9.12 Continuing Northern Waterthrush
I arrive at South Lake Merced around 6:00 this evening with the fog streaming in and didn't like my chances. However, a flock of YELLOW WARBLERs came through and suddenly David's NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH popped into view, bobbing and weaving to make Muhammed Ali proud. I even got a few record-quality shots in the failing light. With the fog, it's likely to spend the night.

9.24 Lark Bunting continues at Sutro Heights Park...
...as of about 8 minutes ago. It was on the path near the statue of Diana, loosely associating with the American Robins in the vicinity. Hugh refound it and I left him there with the bird... Photo ©2006 Mark W. Eaton:

9.28 Virginia's Warbler continues
This morning a pile of us saw the continuing VIRGINIA'S WARBLER in the flowering red eucalyptus near the pipe signed MH2. David Nelson and I managed identifiable photos in the gloom. Other second hand reports include another TENNESSEE WARBLER and yesterday the continuing GRAY CATBIRD at Middle Lake, the continuing TENNESSE and BLACKPOLL WARBLERs at Sutro Heights and a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER along with something more interesting at Mountain Lake. Most of this is on the BirdBox. Images ©2006 Mark W. Eaton
